Hi Grant. I'm also a history lover like yourself and enjoy interacting with other history lovers. My favorite periods are medieval and Tudor history. Since college I've studied English and French history.
Grant,

Having the opportunity to stand on those beaches and overlook Pointe du Hoc, is one of the most memorable times in my life. The day I visited was low tide, so I wondered down on the beach head and walked down about 50 yards into what usually was covered in water. I would be lying if I told I was not overcome with emotion as I turn and looked toward the beach and tried imagine what it was like for those guys trying to take the beach under fire. A very cool experience that I will not soon forget.
